At the end of the most recent episode of Chloe Coverage for Shun Melson’s Fashion Pop Up Shop, I hinted at a surprise that I had coming with High Maintenance Boutique. The time has come for me to finally make the announcement….
Support, support, support. In pretty much each and every Chloe Coverage video I speak on how important it is to support small businesses and rising entrepreneurs. Now by no means am I saying that we shouldn’t shop with the larger brands because we will for the simple fact we already know what to expect when it comes to their clothing such as fit, material quality, and shape. However, sticking with what you know can sometimes make a lot of looks seem the same. You may be fashionable but to be considered to have STYLE, you have to mix your basics with some unique pieces too and most of those unique pieces can be found at small shops that most people probably haven’t heard of. Apparently, celebrity stylist Shun Melson, agrees with me.
After years of dreaming and commitment, Iman’s dream finally was brought to life and I was so glad that I had the opportunity to witness it all come true. On November 8, 2015, The official launch and fashion show took place in Atlanta, GA. This gave buyers and supporters the opportunity to both preview and purchase from her new winter collection.
We all know that there’s a first time for everything. Some firsts may fall short of what we expect and some may be just what we need to take the leap into something new. This first in particular for me was definitely a leap and nothing short of amazing. Usually, I am all about my fashion scene, which won’t change, but when certain opportunities present themselves, you can’t turn them down. So for the first time for both you and I, #ChloeCoverage is switching gears from my love of fashion, to my appreciation of music and what better way to do that that highlighting the soulful songstress, Angie Stone.
