It’s still day two and my spirits are still “all the way up!” After the first show of the day, I took to the city for a little exploring in my last look which grabbed a lot of attention. The Fashion Nova faux fur was a hit. I was in my own little world by the time I got back to my hotel room to regroup and switch it up for part two of my day.
I was excited. I had been waiting to wear this look what seemed like forever. Out of everything I brought, this had probably been put together the longest without me having to keep changing my mind how I wanted to wear it. It was effortless honestly, I think it showed inside and out.
The boots came first. I snagged these at DSW about a month or two ago on sale for about $40 – talk about a steal! I had to have them. Finding the perfect boot is already hard enough, but finding a perfect NAVY THIGH HIGH boot is pretty much impossible. Well, actually they are probably just regular OTK (over-the-knee) for anyone over average height but for us 5’2″ people, they’re thigh boots LOL. I’ve only had one other pair but Charles David never disappoints and on top of them being fabulous, they are as comfy as they come. I really could have worn just the boots and been winning but I probably would have frozen to death.
Now, we all know that when a shoe is an impulsive buy, we really have no clue what they are going to go with but we also don’t care. That was me completely. I had the perfect boots and was already on Cloud 9, but image my mood when I found this jumpsuit… For a whopping $15, Naked Wardrobe had changed my life. It came in other colors that I still wanted but the navy was a no brainer. It’s also only knee length so don’t be surprised when I bring it out for another post in the Spring. Full outfit, so far only $55 spent!
You guys have actually seen the coat before but it was literally about a year ago. I thrifted it back in December of 2015 and haven’t looked back since. It is probably one of the most versatile in both color and style and I still can’t believe it was only $8. It was the grand finale to my navy on navy ensemble and it made the accessory choices a no-brainer.
All I needed was the gold buttons and I had everything else all figured out. The choker from Neckpeace Inc. was one I had always wanted and the only one I never had. Ever since the choker trend hit the streets, I’ve wanted gold and Neckpeace made my dreams come true. Now that I think about it, they always have the pieces I need and this item alone made me forever grateful. I already had a plethora of gold everything else so the look was complete…or so I thought.
At last minute when I went to visit Superficial Clothing for my first day look , I found this chain you see on my waist. I had no idea what I would do with it but I snagged it anyway and I’m glad I did. The red purse was simply to break up the blue (thrifted from Goodwill NY on 25th street) so it was natural to add the red lip. The glasses were just me being dramatic because it was obviously cloudy outside LOL, but nevertheless, they were thrifted from Second Kiss Vintage of Dallas, TX.
So just to quickly wrap it up, this look was everything. As long as the shades of color are close, or at least relatively so, a monochromatic look is almost always a win. Let me know if you guys want to see it more often! In the meantime, make sure you still follow me on Instagram @TheChloeBrand for more pics and post and subscribe to the blog. More NY posts still to come! Until next time guys!
