I’m finally here! NYFW is here again and after weeks of packing and planning, I am finally back in my second home. Just looking at my itinerary for the week I already knew there was pretty much no time for sleep… or was there?
As soon as I landed and checked into my hotel, I was out like a light. I landed around 9 am and was SUPPOSED to have a noon and 4 pm show but neither of those happened. Once I finally got up and slightly got my life together, I realized I hadn’t eaten since about 5 am so food immediately became a priority over anything else.
Once my belly was full, it was just enough time to be able to make it to the 8 o’ clock show for Layana Aguilar and hopefully have the energy for some fun after that. I was actually glad I only had one show to attend though because in all honesty, I had no idea what I was going to wear to the day shows. Don’t get it twisted, I brought enough clothes for way more than a week and for every other day, I knew exactly what I was going to wear but for a midday Friday, I had no clue. Friday night however, I was more than prepared…
I’m not sure why it always happens this way, but once again, the last look I put together ended up being the first one to make its NYC debut. I snagged the dress from Superficial Clothing and thought it was perfect. It was simple but still a statement piece that was a no brainer when it came to the accessories and complimenting pieces for it. I wanted to keep it sleek and sexy (but also stay warm) so the black booties and faux fur were perfection. Add a classic fishnet and purple lip to pull from the sequins, and I was ready for the night.
The leather choker added a dope touch too and was also from Superficial Clothing. As usual they were a one stop shop for me and I grabbed a few other things you’ll see in the NY posts to come! As far as the lippie, I am all the way here for this purple enamel from Dasha Cosmetics. I have probably every color but this is only my second time wearing this one and it is quickly becoming a favorite. It matched my nails and complimented my gold accessories beautifully. Put it all together and I’m ready for NY nightlife!
And aside from the outfit, the show went perfectly and once it ended, I still had just enough energy to brave the cold and hit the town. I wasn’t really sure what to do but then it hit me….go to The 40/40 Club. It had been on my to-do list for quite some time and I just never had the chance or the time to do it. IT WAS A BLAST! I would tell you guys about it but that would spoil all the fun, instead, just stay tuned for the vlog. But in the meantime, make sure you like, comment, and subscribe on Youtube and follow me on Instagram @thechloebrand for more exclusives. Until next time guys!
